Book #19 Review

📚Book #19 Review 2022…

(Book Club Pick)

Untamed

by Glennon Doyle

⭐️⭐️ (don’t shoot the messenger)

1. How often does a cover and painting work together so well? Art by @donna_dugone

2. I went in thinking this would be a true memoir of her story (meaning the flow of her story and life, but instead it felt choppy). From the start I felt I was reading a half truth from somebody that is still angry and has not healed from what she claims to be. I did not want all the “inspirational quotes” (which honestly did not inspire me but made me question her healing and what she was trying to avoid talking about).

3. I did give it two stars because I felt some relatable situations (which I am sure is why it did so well). We should not be boxed in (or lose ourselves) bc of culture, race, religion, family, jobs, etc (totally relate to this).

🤓 from @bookclubchat “In the end, she wants women to be comfortable with being themselves, which is a lot easier said than done.“

👉If you are not a fan, I found @meanbookclub podcast on this amusing and so much 🤣.
