Holistic Wound care

Let’s just say this is the nice picture of my ankle (I did not want to gross anybody out with blood and ooze)…

🤓 Let’s talk Wound care because it is a big part of my story and why we started down the holistic road (outside of my broken foot and tired of being sick all the time). I have always had extremely sensitive skin (no bandaids, no petroleum ointments for me, highly allergic). And then 8 years ago my daughter had MRSA (infection is caused by a type of staph bacteria that's become resistant to many antibiotics) and that’s when I really started digging into holistic healing and what we put on our bodies.

👉Did you know that more than 90% of breast cancer cases are thought to be caused by environmental factors?

👉 Women with breast cancer have twice the levels of hydrocarbons (substances found in petroleum jelly) in their breasts than women who haven’t had breast cancer. Hello products like Neosporin 🤯.

👉 Have you heard of “hygiene hypothesis?” which asserts that lack of exposure to pathogens increases the incidence of autoimmune disease. Hello (you guessed it) Neosporin or Bacitracin.

🤔 You might say “I don’t use enough to cause these problems” well, ok…but why add a potential risk to something big like cancer and/or autoimmune?

✨I am putting together my “favorites” list for your summer adventures. Thankful I had them to grab post run on the beach (open skin and sand is not fun).

here is the rest of my list…
