“The novel tells the story of the fictional Old Hollywood star Evelyn Hugo, who at age 79 gives a final interview to an unknown journalist.”

💚 loosely based the character of Evelyn Hugo on Elizabeth Taylor. Which this had me fascinated and hooked.

💚 the narration was fantastic, the one that reads for the older Evelyn Huge reminded me of listening to Rose tell her story of the Titanic (on movie).

💚 felt like a memoir vs historical fiction.

💚 it felt PG 13 (maybe R rating) bc the topics are very adult (again 7 marriage and think of Liz Taylor).

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

(I really enjoyed this book, 👍👍)… I would say it’s a tragic, Hollywood, love story.
