Clean Makeup Favorites
💄Let’s talk makeup (it’s been awhile)…
I’m guessing a lot of you are connected to me through Savvy Makeup (RIP 😭), as much as I agree with the business strategy of it no longer being a product line, I am still mourning the loss of it. So let’s talk and dig into what I am using and why. 🤓

✨A beautiful face does not have to come with a toxic price tag, and I am here to educate you on why Purity Matters. what we put on our bodies is just as important! Your skin is your largest organ, and it’s like a sponge! Body washes, lotions, deodorants, and cosmetics that you slather on your skin get absorbed into your body. If your makeup is filled with toxins such as lead, parabens, bismuth, endocrine-disrupting phthalates, and other harsh chemicals, they can also get absorbed into your body! Yuck! Shoppers have a common belief that companies can’t sell something if it isn’t safe, but this is a myth. Cosmetic, skincare, and body care companies frequently include ingredients in their products that are not thoroughly researched, or which have actually been proven to be unsafe. 🙅♀️
These toxins are linked to common health issues like:

🤓Factoid for today ➡️ The average woman absorbs 4lb 6oz of chemicals from toiletries and make-up every year. 🤦♀️
👉Here are the 3 brands that I recommend and support (and which one has ended up being my favorite).
Root Pretty https://www.rootpretty.com/ is actually my least favorite and this is why. I need more coverage, even with primer it smears and does not have staying power (Hello Tx Summer), and it has a pearlescent finish that I am not a fan of. These notes are Regarding the Powder Mineral Foundation. However I do LOVE the Pretty Filter Primer from them. Who should try this product 👉 those that want a sheer glow, lightweight, and have dryer skin.
WithSimplicity https://withsimplicitybeauty.com/ this was the makeup line I told everybody to go to once the Savvy announcement came, but this is why it is not my favorite. Notes are regarding Mineral Matte Foundation Powder. The matte can make you age, shows fine lines, and pores (even when using their face primer) that is my biggest complaint. Also, go a shade darker than you think. However I do love this Company and their makeup line (for the most part). Who should try this product 👉 those with smoother, younger skin that want a matte finish. This product is buildable.
Toups Organics https://toupsandco.com/collections/complexion is the latest brand I have tried and as much as I did not want it to be (bc it is the smallest sizes, like I thought they were sample sizes and most expensive) it is my Favorite. This is in regards to their Mineral Makeup Foundation, it is smooth, buildable, and has staying powers. It’s like satin and for the most part does not crease or smear (if you over hydrate or oily you will have some). Looks darker in packaging than once applied. I plan on trying their concealer next to see if I can get heavier coverage where my skin pigmentation has gotten worse (due to Autoimmune Disease). Also, I am OBSESSED with their Mineral Makeup Brush and Tinted Lip Balm (using 100% grass fed tallow).
