Clean Makeup Talk

💄Let’s talk makeup!

9 years ago I started researching clean makeup lines (coming out of the makeup industry and being at the forefronts of creating a makeup line, I know a bit about makeup) this was a big change for me.

🤓It’s scary how many companies Greenwash their brands and fool people. Every company has a different meaning when they refer to the word “clean”. Most consider an ingredient clean if it is not toxic. Many plastics are considered non-toxic when applied topically and are considered clean by some companies. While technically true, using foundation on your face with excessive plastics such as dimethicone and polymers may cause your skin to not be able to breathe and is an easy place for bacteria to thrive (think of the older mineral lines 🫣).

🫶My very first brand I trusted was @withsimplicity_beauty (I have no links or connections, just helping you all), and then Savvy Minerals came into my life and I was clearly a fan (#thesavvymakeupartist). As we will no longer have Savvy Minerals, I will be going back to @withsimplicity_beauty bc they have continued to keep a clean line that I can approve 👍 and the easiest swap for those that were fans of Savvy.

Xoxo 😘
